Asim’s heroics go in vain

LAHORE, April 25: Despite a lion-hearted spell of bowling from paceman Asim Butt, PIA pulled of a narrow three-wicket victory overt Sialkot in the Pentangular Cup fixture at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Asim claimed five for 48 but despite his heroics, PIA achieved their second win in the tournament by scoring 139 for seven.

The win, worth six points, earned PIA third spot in the five-team competition with 15 points.
