ISLAMABAD, April 25: A fire broke out at a local hotel soon after Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz left the premises after attending two functions on Tuesday, police said.

However, no loss of life or injury were reported.

The fire erupted in the electricity cables at the main porch of the hotel. However the flames were brought under control by the workers of the hotel before it spread to adjacent rooms.

The police said the cause of the fire was a short-circuit.

When contacted, the hotel management denied that any such incident had occurred.—Staff Reporter
