LAHORE: A man was found shot dead in the servant quarters of the outhouse of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) former provincial minister Mian Aslam Iqbal in New Mozang on Monday.

As per sources, on receiving a call about the presence of a body of an unknown man in the servant quarters of the outhouse of the PTI leader, a team of Samanabad police reached the spot.

The police recovered the body from the premises and shifted it to the morgue for autopsy.

The police also registered a murder case against unidentified killer(s) and started investigation.

The sources said that initial investigation revealed that Arshad, a Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police official, was living in the servant quarters he had rented through a property dealer.

The investigation further revealed that the policeman had neither been attending his office for the last one month, nor he could be contacted.

The police were still trying to identify the man found dead in the servant quarters.
