HYDERABAD, April 25: Recovery In-charge Mohammad Rafique Rajput, under directives from City Taluka Nazim Javed Jabbar, sealed the shops of defaulters in Thora Chari and Faqir Ka Pir on Tuesday.

In a statement on Tuesday, the city nazim appealed to municipal tenants to pay their rents, fees and taxes on time to enable the town administration to serve people in a better way.

He warned meat merchants to shift their businesses to the taluka city markets to avoid legal action under the meat act. He advised them to avoid slaughtering animals in lanes and streets and sell meat at officially designated places.

He directed that registers be kept in all union council offices for complaints about insanitation. The officials concerned must ensure regular attendance of sanitary workers; he said and warned that strict action would be taken against the negligent and absent workers.
