LAHORE: Prof Dr Nadhra Shahbaz Khan of the Lahore University of Management and Sciences has been awarded France’s prestigious Palmes Académiques, one of France’s highest academic honours and their oldest non-military decoration.
Dr Nadhra, an art historian, was awarded two days ago for her work in generating deep interest in French culture and arts among her students.
Dr Nadhra and her students took a class project to re-imagine Kuri Bagh in a contemporary context. The initiative reached the French Embassy and presentations with the French Cultural Attaché and Jean-Marie Lafont, an eminent French historian.
