Kech shooting leaves one dead

GWADAR: A man was killed in a shooting in Tump area of Kech district near the Pak-Iran border, late on Sunday evening, police said.

They said some armed motorcyclists opened fire on the man and sped away. Later, police shifted the body to district hospital where the deceased was identified as Mohammad Miraj, a resident of Gomazi.

The armed men used an automatic weapon, police officials said, adding that the motive for the murder could not be ascertained immediately. However, the police said, the possibility of a target killing could not be ruled out as further investigation was underway.
