Gaza’s Government Media Office says it is closely following Israel’s actions and “waiting for it to abide” by its humanitarian commitments in the ceasefire agreement, Al Jazeera reports.

“The catastrophic humanitarian and living reality that our people in the Gaza Strip are suffering from as a result of the war of extermination and ethnic cleansing waged by the occupation over the course of 15 months, does not tolerate procrastination and delay in introducing shelter requirements and other needs such as fuel, heavy equipment, medical devices and equipment, and infrastructure restoration materials,” Salama Marouf, the head of the office, said in a statement.

“[Nearly] one and a half million people have become homeless after their homes were destroyed, while all residents of the Gaza Strip, numbering 2.4 million people, suffer from the lack of the most basic life services and the lack of infrastructure.”
