LAHORE, April 23: Two people were killed and another injured when a bomb exploded in a scrap godown in Loha Market, Misri Shah, on Sunday.

The Misri Shah police have registered a case against Mian Munir and Mian Qasim, proprietors of the godown, Ittefaq Brothers, and reportedly cousins of former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Raids were being conducted for their arrest.

The police said godown watchman Rafiq was hammering an unexploded bomb to remove copper from its shell when it burst and its splinters killed Rafiq and seriously injured Mushtaq, another employee working there, and Akram who was passing by the store.

Mushtaq, later, succumbed to his injuries in Mayo Hospital.
