LAHORE, April 22: Talha Iftikhar completed a fine sprint double on the opening day of Punjab Province Universities Sports Gala on Saturday.

In athletics, Punjab University topped with 82 points, followed by Sargodha University (32) and Government College, University, Faisalabad (31).

High jump: Fahad Cheema (Engineering University, Lahore) five feet six inch.

Long jump: Haider Ali (PU) 5.82m.

Shot put: Ijaz Rasul (PU) 36feet two inches.

Discus throw: Atif Ayub (PU) 38.35m.
