Israel confirms release of 110 Palestinian captives

Israel’s Prison Service has confirmed it has 110 prisoners as part of the agreement with Hamas for a truce in Gaza which came into effect on 19 January, AFP reports.

Meanwhile, two buses carrying Palestinian prisoners released by Israel have reached Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, their arrival cheered by hundreds of waiting Palestinians, an AFP correspondent reports.
