DADU: Four people were killed and three were critically injured when a speeding coach collided head-on with a car on Indus Highway near Manjhand town on Wednesday.

The deceased identified as the car’s driver Abdul Aziz Jatoi, Ali Sher Jatoi, Shaukat Jatoi and Eidan Jatoi, were taken to a Manjhand hospital for post mortem, and the injured, Munwar Jatoi, Ali Dost Jatoi and Noor Nabi Jatoi were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital, Jamshoro, for treatment.

A spokesman for Jamshoro district police said that the collision occurred when the car, going to Sehwan, attempted to overtake another vehicle before it but was run over by the speeding coach, which was coming from opposite direction on the patch, which had not been constructed yet. The exact cause of the accident was being investigated though police officials believed high speed might be the major reason.
