KHUZDAR: A man and his wife were gunned down in Khuzdar on Tuesday, police said.

Officials added that Haji Nawaz was returning home along with his wife Mamida Bibi when armed men on motorbikes opened indiscriminate fire on them in the Kodask Mazardan area of Khuzdar’s tehsil Naal.

“The wife and husband were killed on the spot as they suffered multiple bullet injuries,” a police officer said, adding their bodies were moved to district hospital.

Later, the bodies were handed over to family members.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation.

The couple, residing in Greshah area of Naal, had recently got married.

The motive for the killing could not be ascertained immediately, as per the police.
