MIRPURKHAS: A young man and his 10-year-old relative were killed and two other men were injured when a speeding dumper-truck ran over a Qingqi-rickshaw near Kain Shakh (water channel) in Tando Allahyar district on Monday.

Bodies of Kelash Meghwar, 22, and his relative Depak Meghwar, 10, and the two other passengers, who could not be identified immediately, were rushed to Tando Allahyar Civil Hospital where the injured were provided emergency treatment and the victims’ bodies were shifted to mortuary.

The bodies were later handed over to heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.

Police did not lodge any case while the dumper’s driver managed to flee after the accident.
