Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s far-right national security minister, has said the “eyes weep from happiness” after the release of four female soldiers who were held captive by Hamas in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.
“But the heart tightens with the footage that humiliates the State of Israel, in light of the irresponsible deal,” he wrote on X.
“Welcome home to the returnees. But if we do not destroy Hamas, the next October 7 is at the doorstep. We must resume the war. And destroy,” he said.
