The Southeast Asian bloc Asean welcomes a ceasefire in Gaza and calls for its full implementation and release of all hostages and detainees, its chair Malaysia has said.

“We also call for a full, safe, rapid, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance for the Palestinians,” it said in a statement released today.
