LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Council (LAC) will stage a play, Paisa Bolta Hai, based on a drama workshop conducted by celebrated comedian Iftikhar Thakur.

The month-long workshop was an initiative by the arts council to rope in young interested people who had a passion for acting. The council engaged Iftikhar Thakur to conduct the workshop. A number of male and female students joined the workshop and during this acting exercise, they developed the play, Paisa Bolta Hai, which would be staged at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall, for three days in the first week of February. Qaiser Javed, the director of the play, told Dawn that Thakur would play the lead role in the drama along with the workshop participants.
