SARGODHA: The Kot Momin police have arrested the leader and a member of an inter-provincial drug trafficking gang involved in drugs smuggling under the guise of passengers in public transport as well as in a car.

The police recovered 14 kilo ice and further investigation is underway. The police also seized the vehicle used in the smuggling.

Police officials stated that the drug traffickers, hailing from the Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, transported drugs to different districts of Punjab. One of the arrested gang members, Anis Khan, was caught with six kilo of ice. Upon his revelations, another member, Zalfat Shah, was arrested while attempting to smuggle drugs in a car.
