MIRAMSHAH, April 19: Suspected militants beheaded a tribesman in the Mirali tehsil of North Waziristan Agency on Tuesday night. According to officials, Waseeullah, a resident of Sira Tala, had been kidnapped from the Mirali town earlier in the day. His beheaded body was found in a ditch on Wednesday.

The officials said that the tribesman had been killed for spying for the United States.

Meanwhile, three missiles were fired on the paramilitary fort in Miramshah on Tuesday night. However, no casualties or damage was reported.

In another development, security forces fired artillery shells which hit several houses in Qutabkhel and Angher villages near Miramshah.

Our Khar correspondent adds: Paramilitary forces arrested two tribesmen in the Khar area of Bajaur Agency on Tuesday night on suspicion of having links with terrorist organisations.

Officials said that paramilitary and levy forces jointly raided the house of tribesman Abdul Khaliq in the Shandai village, near Khar, the agency headquarters.

They said that troops took away Abdul Khaliq and his colleague and handed them over to an interrogation team.
