LAHORE: The Punjab home department has shifted applications for modifications in arms licences online to facilitate individual applicants.

The home department has written a letter to all the deputy commissioners in the province to guide the applicants to utilize the online system for future modifications of arms licenses.

Quoting the Rule-17 (sub-rule-i) of Punjab Arms License Rules-2023, the home department in its letter stated, “A licensee, on the basis of cogent reasons, may apply online change of bore, category of arms, increase in number of cartridges or bullets, sale of existing weapon or extension of validity of a license to entire Pakistan on the Form-II”.

The home department also stated that NADRA has developed an online module for modifications of individual arms licenses.
