LAHORE: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) on Wednesday provided free internet service at 200 locations in Lahore.

The PSCA also extended this service to 11 districts of Punjab. A total of 270 Wi-Fi hotspots are now operational, providing internet access to citizens. In addition to Lahore, services have been activated in Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Attock, as well as key locations in Sahiwal, Okara, and Murree.

According to the PSCA spokesperson, more than 13 million users have already consumed over 265 TB of data.

Under the chief minister’s directives, Punjab is being transformed into a digital province.

It is important to note that the free Wi-Fi service is not intended for emergency services, video streaming, or entertainment.
