The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports that the Israeli military has greenlit a move to “swiftly withdraw” troops from large parts of the Gaza Strip as ceasefire talks intensify, Al Jazeera reports.
The army studied numerous ways to pull out soldiers from the Palestinian enclave, including via the Netzarim Corridor, the newspaper said.
The four-kilometre deep and heavily fortified Netzarim Corridor runs across the Gaza Strip, stretching from the Israeli border to the Mediterranean Sea.
