BAJAUR, Feb 5: The Election Commission has kicked off its plan to hold local bodies elections in the tribal belt, including Bajaur Agency, by demarcating the union councils in seven tehsils.

According to a spokesman for the Election Commission, at least nine union councils would be carved out in each tehsil and each UC would represent 10,000 electorates.

The EC staff along with political authorities had visited different parts of the agency and started compilation of voter lists in all the 63 union councils.
