LAKKI MARWAT, April 18: An outlaw belonging to the Bhetanni tribe surrendered to the political authorities of the Lakki Marwat Frontier Region here on Tuesday.

Sources said that Dautaj of the Hussainkhel clan of the Bhetanni tribe had been harbouring outlaws.

They said that the man had sheltered Shaista Khan, who was wanted by the Dera Ismail Khan police for murdering a student of the Gomal University.

The student’s killing had sparked violent protests.

DCO Kifayatullah Khan, the political agent of the Frontier Region of Lakki Marwat, has ordered action against the harbouring of criminals in the Frontier Region’s jurisdiction.
