KARACHI: Mercury dropped to 6.5 degrees Celsius in parts of the city late Tuesday night, the Met Office said on Wednesday.

Data showed that the city’s average minimum temperature was 8.1°C. However, mercury dropped to 6.5°C at Jinnah Terminal followed by 6.7°C in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, 8.5°C in Mauripur, 9°C at Sharea Faisal and 9.1°C in Bin Qasim Town.

The maximum temperature recorded was 26.5°C. Relative humidity was 54 per cent and 25pc in the morning and evening, respectively.

Karachi’s minimum temperature is expected to range between 8°C and 10°C on Thursday (today).

Zero degree in Mithi

Meanwhile, Mithi and Mohenjo Daro shivered at zero degrees Celsius and 1.5°C.

According to the Met department’s daily advisory, cold/very cold and dry weather is likely to continue in the province with fog in the districts of upper and central Sindh during night/morning.
