Man gets death for killing wife

CHAKWAL, April 18: Additional District and Sessions Judge Akram Awan awarded capital punishment to a man for killing his wife in Dewalian village in the jurisdiction of Dhumman police.

The convict, Mumtaz Hussain, was also fined Rs100,000. He would have to undergo another six months’ imprisonment in case he failed to pay the amount. Hussain had sprinkled kerosene on the body of his wife and burnt her in November last year over some domestic issue.—APP
