MIRAMSHAH, April 17: Suspected militants have killed an Afghan national and two local tribesmen for spying for US forces and supplying food to them in three different parts of the North Waziristan Agency, according to government officials and residents of the areas.

Officials said that the beheaded body of an Afghan national, Murtaza, was found in the Saidgai area near Afghan border on Sunday evening (briefly reported in yesterday’s issue).

They said that the victim had been kidnapped from Wana, South Waziristan Agency, three days ago.

Sources said that Murtaza belonged to Afghanistan’s Paktika province. His body was sent to Afghanistan on Monday.

They said that a note was found on the body, warning that spies for US troops would face same consequence.

A tribesman, Balot, son of Maulvi, was killed in the Kher Kamer area of Datakhel tehsil.

His relatives said that Balot supplied food items to American troops across the border.

A beheaded body was found in the Madakhel area near the border on Monday. The unidentified killers had apparently taken away the head with them.

The deceased was identified as Taza Gul. Sources said that he had been killed on the charge of spying for US forces.

Officials said that armed men snatched a truck from its driver Tawab Khan in the Dusali area on Monday.

The driver belonged to Peshawar and had been supplying edible items to the army and paramilitary troops in the North Waziristan Agency.
