The head of the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees has again warned of the repercussions of Israel’s planned ban on UNRWA for millions of people across the region, Al Jazeera reports.
“UNRWA can be replaced only through a functioning Palestinian state, which would address the plight of Palestine refugees,” he wrote on X, listing the essential work done by the UN agency.
“That can be reached through political will and diplomacy. It’s time to switch gears, set the priorities and work towards peace.”
