HYDERABAD, April 17: The Awami Tehrik on Sunday condemned an alleged murderous attack on Ali Akbar Palijo, the elder brother of Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo.

At the party’s standing committee meeting, leaders lashed out at the medical officer of the Makli Civil Hospital for converting the attacked which resulted in multiple fractures into a case of accident.

The meeting was attended by Ayaz Latif Palijo, Vishno Mal, Alam Shah and Abrar Qazi.

It said that the attack was a conspiracy aimed at harassing the Awami Tehrik chief and sabotaging the democratic struggle for the rights of people.

It demanded that the federal and Sindh governments should take notice of the incident, failing which peaceful protest demonstrations would be held in Sindh.

The Awami Tehrik leaders demanded that the assailants should be immediately arrested.

The party announced that a general council meeting would be held on April 20 to discuss the attack on Mr Palijo.
