LAKKI MARWAT, April 17: People in Daal Mills area have been facing increasing power disruption as the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company has failed to rectify a fault despite a lapse of one week.

Loose power cables and faulty links with transformers were causing disruption of supply, some inhabitants of the area said.

They alleged that technical staff of the company was not interested in permanently solving the problems affecting the supply.

They said the students preparing for examinations were the worst affected by the power disruption.

They threatened to stage protest demonstrations if the problems were not solved.

They asked the ministers concerned and the chief of the Water and Power Development Authority to direct the officials concerned to ensure proper electricity supply to the area.—Correspondent
