LAHORE: Wapda and Army won their respective semi-finals on Sunday to set up a thrilling final showdown in the National Women’s Basketball Championship here at the Wapda Sports Complex.

In the second last-four fixture,

Army proved too strong for Karachi, winning 59-19. Ayesha Dilshad was the standout player for Army, scoring 20 points, while Zobia Shehnaz contributed 10 points.

Wapda, who have remained unbeaten throughout the championship, stormed into the final with a convincing 65-33 victory over Lahore in the first semi-final.

Star player Hijab Fatima led the charge with 24 points, while

Kainat Zafar chipped in with 13 points. Aiman Mehmood scored 13 points for Lahore.

The final and the third place match between Lahore and Karachi will be played on Monday.
