Police van damaged in Bannu bomb explosion

LAKKI MARWAT: A bomb explosions partially damaged the vehicle of a police patrol in the Kakki area of Bannu district on Tuesday.

An official said that the explosion occurred in the limits of Kakki police station.

He said that unknown miscreants had planted an explosive device along an under-construction road, which went off with a bang when a police van passed by.

“The vehicle was partially damaged in the blast. However, all the cops onboard the van remained unhurt,” the official said, adding that the explosion caused a big crater on the road.

He said that a large police contingent reached the spot and launched a search for the perpetrators of the terror act.
