BAHAWALNAGAR, April 16: A 40-feet wide breach at Barewala Canal destroyed the wheat crop on hundreds of acres near Basti Kamanian Waley, Mouza Kabootri, on Sunday morning.

Kabootri Union Council Nazim Mian Khalid Lalika with the help of local people plugged the breach after some hectic efforts. They demanded compensation for the affected farmers.
