TOBA TEK SINGH, April 16: The Supreme Court has summoned 25 people of Gojra for Monday for violating the Marriage Ordinance. Those who will appear before the court include Shaikh Bashir of Madni Town, Zubaida Begum of Bilal Park, Usman of Samanabad, Wajid of New Plots, Ishaq of Sharifpura, Zahid of Gulshan Colony, Sadiq of Hafeez Park, Sattar of Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Iqbal of Sultanpura, Jamil of Garh Muhalla, Ashraf of Mehdi Muhalla, Sadiq of Samanabad, Jafar of Hafeez Park, Siddiq of Bilal Park, Khaliq of Taaki Muhalla, Qaim Din of Habib Park, Mustafa of Chak 91-JB and Iftikhar of Sarwar Colony.
Chargesheets against these people were submitted to a local court by a former tehsil nazim.
SIALKOT: The deputy district officer (revenue) on Sunday challaned the owners of three marriage halls and hotel and 11 other people for violating the Marriage Act by serving meal.
Those fined included Abdul Rahman, Adnan Bhatti, Hyder Gilani, Mian Javaid, Attiqur Rahman, Zahid Mahmood, Riaz Husain and Khurram.
The DDO said the challans had been submitted before the court of the local judicial magistrate.
