RAWALPINDI, April 16: The Secretariat police on Sunday booked several people, including a joint secretary, on charges of violating the ban on serving meal in wedding parties.

SHO Secretariat police Inspector Idrees Rathore said following information that meal was being served at a wedding party of the daughter of a joint secretary of the ministry of labour, manpower and overseas Pakistani, a raiding party led by magistrate Malik Afsar was formed.

The SHO said the police raided a hotel situated near Rawal Lake and found the host and hotel administration violating the ban.
