The United Nations condemned the Israeli airstrike on a school in Khan Younis in southern Gaza which resulted in the killing of dozens of civilians, Wafa reports.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric confirmed during the daily press briefing that the school in Khan Younis was sheltering many displaced persons, including children, women and the elderly, denouncing the killing of civilians.

Additionally, Dujarric noted that Israel has rejected all requests made by the UN for approval of three humanitarian operations to deliver food and water to northern Gaza.

However, he stressed the UN’s commitment to providing aid to those in need, wherever it is required.
