‘Closest we’ve been’ to captive deal in more than a year: Israeli defence minister

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has remarked on the negotiations with Hamas without providing details during a Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee hearing, Al Jazeera reports citing Israeli media.

“We are the closest we have been to a hostage deal since the previous one,” he was quoted by the Haaretz newspaper as saying.
