ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Government today [Dec 7] removed restrictions on trade with India in accordance with the protocol on resumption of trade signed in New Delhi on Nov 30 last. To facilitate the flow of trade, necessary notifications have been issued removing the trade restrictions in force, a Press Note of the Ministry of Commerce said. ... Flow of trade will take place according to the provisions of the protocol and in accordance with the procedure and other details… .

[Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Beirut,] Lebanese Prime Minister Rachid Solh, addressing the Parliament ... strongly condemned Israel for its aggression against Lebanon, and declared that national defence will be reinforced to confront Israeli Zionism. ... He stressed that the new Government “is determined to bring its means of defence in South Lebanon and the whole country up to strength, and will do its utmost to draw up an armament plan ... which will ensure the defence of Lebanese territory”. He pointed out that Israel is attacking Lebanon to satisfy its thirst for the territories and territorial waters of south Lebanon.
