QUETTA: Ghulam Rasool Umrani, the Balochistan chief minister’s adviser on labour and manpower, visited the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA) office to oversee interviews for the CM’s Youth Skill Development and Overseas Employment Programme.

During the visit, BTEVTA Managing Director Tariq Javed Mengal briefed Mr Umrani on the programme’s application process and the measures in place to ensure merit-based selections.

He highlighted the overwhelming response from applicants and the rigorous selection procedures to maintain transparency and fairness.

Mr Umrani commended BTEVTA and emphasised the importance of maintaining transparency throughout the selection process.

He urged officials to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates, stressing that no individual should be favoured based on background or influence.

Candidates participating in the interviews expressed their satisfaction with the fair and transparent process.

The skill development and employment scheme is a flagship initiative aimed at equipping Balochistan’s youth with marketable skills and creating opportunities for overseas employment.
