LAKKI MARWAT: A bullet-riddled body was found in Titterkhel area here on Tuesday.

Police said residents spotted the body and informed them. They said a party of Ghanikhel police station shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital, Tajazai.

The deceased, identified as Hayatullah from the identity card he possessed, had been killed with a firearm, according to the police.

Separately, a man was shot dead over a petty dispute in Tarkha Bazikhel area of Lakki on Tuesday.

The police said Bakht Jamal, 55, and his son, Iqbal Khan, 30, were cutting trees in the fields when their relative, Chawar Khan, came there and opened fire at them.

They said Jamal died instantly, while Iqbal narrowly escaped the attack.

Iqbal told the police that an exchange of harsh words between the killer and his brother, Waseem led to murder of his father.

The body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Serai Naurang.

The police said the alleged killer was booked under relevant sections of Pakistan Penal Code.
