Civilian injured as grenade lobbed at police post

PESHAWAR: A civilian was injured when miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at a police post on the outskirts of the provincial capital here on Sunday.

The police said unknown miscreants hurled the grenade at the Saifan police post in the jurisdiction of the Badhber police station, which blew up with a bang, injuring a civilian. The cops posted at the post remained unhurt.

A statement issued by the city police said main gate of the post was partially damaged, adding the bomb disposal squad personnel were immediately called to the spot.
