DERA ISMAIL KHAN, April 10: A local court will take up for hearing on April 12 the bail pleas of 14 persons arrested last month on charges of looting and breaking up a fair in the Shah Alam area here.

About 1,000 activists of the banned Sipah-i-Sahaba were charged in the case. But only 65 of them, including the organisation’s vice president Khalifa Abdul Qayyum Gandapur, were arrested.

Of the 65 detained accused, 14 submitted applications for bail in a local court here on Monday.—Correspondent
