Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem has promised to defeat Israel as he conveyed a message to his followers, Al Jazeera reports according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.
“We will achieve victory and defeat our enemy for the sake of our sovereignty and independence,” said Qassem, who was appointed at the helm of the Lebanese group after Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated by Israel on September 27.
“You are the waves of goodness that bring down the rampage of evil,” he said, addressing his supporters.
He praised those who died while fighting with “dedication and sincerity”.
