RAWALPINDI, April 7: Four robbers looted a shop in Khayaban- i-Sir Syed on Friday and escaped with Rs120,000 cash after injuring the owner, police said. Ahmed Wali, the robbery victim, told Pirwadhai police that four persons entered his shop and held him and four other persons at gunpoint.

The robbers forced them to hand over the cash. However, when Ahmed Wali tried to overpower them, they shot and injured him. The robbers then snatched Rs120,000 cash and escaped after locking them inside the shop.

Meanwhile, five cars were taken away by some culprits from different parts of the city on Thursday, police said.

Ikhlaq Faisal told New Town police that his car (RLA-4450) was stolen from Faizabad, while Mr Iftikhar’s car (RIT-4647) was taken away from New Town. Mubarak Ali’s car (JG-106) was stolen from Pirwadhai.

Rashid Ahmed Butt’s car (JHX-9983) was stolen from Banni police area while Farrukh Shahzad’s car (SAB-48) was lifted from Sadiqabad.
