MUZAFFARGARH: Police arrested two persons in Alipur area for allegedly raping and blackmailing a deaf-mute woman over the last six months, during which time the alleged rape survivor became pregnant.

The case surfaced after the woman’s mother sought medical attention due to her daughter’s deteriorating health, which led to the discovery of her pregnancy.

The rape survivor conveyed that two of her neighbours had repeatedly raped her and made a video to use as blackmail.

Following this revelation, the mother reported the crime to Seetpur police.

District Police Officer Syed Hasnain Haider formed a team to investigate and arrest the alleged culprits.
