Old feud claims two lives

TIMERGARA, April 7: Two people were killed in a clash in Chikhoo village in Ouch Lower area. The deceased were identified as Muhtarum Khan and his employee Naseeb Khan. Ouch police have registered a case against nephews of the deceased on the complaint of his heirs.

Sources said that Muhtarum and his brothers Mir Alum had a dispute over land distribution and a number of people from both sides have lost their lives in clashes.

Meanwhile, Ouch police have claimed to have arrested an alleged car thief. Acting on a tip, a party led by SHO Naeem Khan raided the house of the accused, Shah Kamin, who confessed to have committed the theft. He named Khir Zaman, Shir Zaman and Aleem Din as his accomplices.

In another incident, a 22-year old woman, mother of three children, committed suicide by jumping into the River Panj Kora in Utala village. Rescuers are searching for her body. A relative of the woman told Dawn that she was mentally retarded and had been undergoing treatment for last 10 years.
