Karachi Port operations

KARACHI, April 7: Four ships carrying containers, palm oil and to load naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, MOL Silver Fern, QC Wisdom, to unload and load containers, CEC Pioneer to offload general cargo and Amar, to unload sugar were berthed after the departure of as many.

The departing ships were led by Ju Fu Me, Marclabalia, Hyundai Stride and Queen Trader, while Jade Khereh, Ravan River, Corin Thaikos, CEC Pioneer, Kota Teraju and Mearsk Alabama are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 59,008 comprising 42,877 tons of export tonnage including 4,333 tons of rice and 16,131 tons of import cargo was handled. The following ships are due on Saturday: Formosa Product Cosmos, to load naphtha, Docomo, with 9,000 tons of palm oil, Selcon and Ilse Wuff, with containers.
