Indian novelist Arundhati Roy has said Palestine is a “wound” on the Earth that no amount of propaganda can hide in an acceptance speech on her winning the PEN Pinter Prize 2024.

She also announced donating her prize money to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.

“Not all the power and money, not all the weapons and propaganda on earth can any longer hide the wound that is Palestine. The wound through which the whole world, including Israel, bleeds,” she said.
