TAXILA: Police on Thursday netted a suspect who had shot dead a passenger van driver in a Fatehjang town of Attock on April 14 this year.

Police said the van’s driver had an altercation with three motorcyclists passing near the vehicle when one of the van’s tyres hit a pool of dirty water which splashed over clothes of the motorcyclists.

In the middle of heated argument one of the motorcyclists took out pistol and fired on the diver killing him on the spot and the motorcyclists managed to escape from the scene.

On Thursday police traced the suspect identified as Ihtishan through human and digital intelligence and netted him.

Police also recovered the pistol from the suspect which was utilised during the murder of the van driver.
