MIRPURKHAS, April 4: DPO Abdul Hadi Billo suspended two sub-inspectors on Tuesday on charges of keeping Naeem Arain in wrongful confinement and subjecting him to torture. The officials were identified as Amin Mari and Mustafa Thebo.

Mr Arain was arrested by the Satellite town police and kept in illegal confinement.

He was admitted to the surgical ward of the Mirpurkhas civil hospital.

The DPO said that initially two sub-inspectors had been suspended and action would be taken in the light of the inquiry.
