LAHORE: Commissioner Zaid bin Maqsood on Friday visited the under-construction Walton Road Remodeling project.

He was briefed about the project.

DC Syed Musa Raza, AC Model Town and Cantt, Wasa and traffic police officers were also present.

The commissioner visited the road, drains, sewerage, overhead bridge and disposal stations from Walton Road Defence Chowk to Qainchi. One side of Walton Road (Defence chowk to Qainchi) has been completed and opened for traffic.

The open drain on Walton Road has been completely demolished and the space would be replaced by green belts. The overhead bridge to go to Defence from Qainchi will be opened for traffic next week whereas one of the two disposal stations on Walton Road have been completed/ Underground trunk sewer for utilities is being constructed on Walton Road.

The second side of Walton Road will be completed by end of this month.
